On Ring Tones
Ok, I just can’t resist writing another one…And postponing my more important tasks.

A person’s cellphone ring tone describes or characterizes her (I’m using “her” because I’m a woman, ok!). It speaks a lot about what the person is like, more specifically, on the kind of music she likes and her taste in life, in general.

I’d like to tell you about the ring tones I hear around the office. Most of us put our phones on silent mode while at work, so that we won’t have to be bothered by the continuous beeping and ringing. But there are those who still do keep them on, and I’d like to make fun of them here (I’m sooooo baaaaadddd!):

How Did You Know
The owner of the phone is our external consultant who is a mother of a 4th year high school student. Yes, I did watch the movie from which that theme was taken, but I wouldn’t be caught dead with that ring tone on my phone--eeeww! Btw, she’s also wearing braces, yes, at her age. Nagmumurang kamatis na nanay--trying to be Jologs like her daughter, probably.

Batman Theme (tananananan…Batman!)
The owner of the phone is our SOX auditor. In between scolding and bitching about “us”, the auditees, she endlessly talks on the phone with her brokers about her numerous investments. Errrr, I can’t seem to make a connection here. I’m not sure what the Batman Theme is for. She’s single and probably wants to be taken. Ah…Baka crush nya si Bruce Wayne.

Pamela-Wan
This one is my favorite of all. The owner holds one of the most high profile jobs in the company. She travels in and out of the country, week in and week out, to exciting destinations like South Africa. I used to envy her position and thought she was one classy lady. Hearing her ring tone gave me a good laugh. Well, she could just be promoting the Pinoy music culture to the countries she visits.

For my closing remarks, let me tell you about an ex-colleague who was from Malaysia. I felt a mix of pride and amusement when I heard the song “Anak” by Freddie Aguilar on his phone as his ring tone. He said he likes the song very much.

Post-wedding to do and more
I finally received the CD of photos from our wedding as shot by one of our unofficial photographers, “kuya” Raymund Marcelo (can’t do the link cos I think his site is already ouddated). Our coordinator, Manny, has kept it for over a year. He must really have loved doing our wedding so much—heeheehee—as much as the hubby and I loved everything he did. And I also finally followed it up with him (read: kinulit) because a friend is coming up with a wedding site business and he wants our wedding to be a sampler.

Anyway, I’m in the process of uploading everything at Ofoto.com. Next project, wedding scrap book.

Postscript:
This brings me to the realization that Manny is the first queer dear friend I ever had. And it’s such a coincidence that I’m also reading (and enjoying) a lot of blogs created by queer people =)

Barangay ERP COE
The ERP COE boys (a.k.a. Team Philippines) won their basketball match against Team California. No, mind you, the players don’t come from the geographic location they represent, the teams were just named after the geographical entities that our organization services.

The score was a shameful 25 and an even more shameful 16 for Team California. The loser in the 2nd game (Team Asia-Pacific) even scored higher than our team, with 28 points. Here are a few of alibis that they could possibly come up with:

1. Age. Most of the players in our team are already past their prime in playing basketball. They run less, shoot less accurately, and as what they would admit to, like Barangay Ginebra, “mananakit na lang kami”. That’s why, three of our players came home with injuries.

2. According to the team captain, good defense means lower scoring. Yeah right! I think he forgot that the low scoring theory should only apply to the opposing team.

On their way to tonight’s game, I asked them to try to score better than last night. They’re playing against Team Asia-Pacific. Say, if basing only on last night’s scores of our team against our opponent tonight, who do you think would win?

Pigging-Out, Spanish style
Today’s team lunch is one that I particularly enjoyed, out of the 3 or 4 that I already had since joining the group. One reason could be because I was the one who made the suggestion--which means I DO have good taste.=P I initially recommended Una Mas in Greenbelt 2. However, as an after thought, I recalled my hubby’s story about his eating spree in Alba Restaurante in Tomas Morato and finally suggested to the team that we eat at the Bel-Air branch of Alba instead. And it was a good decision indeed. Not only was the food better, there were also more choices (and lest I make your mouths water, I would refrain from mentioning the menu) and the buffet price was also cheaper. The ambience of the restaurant was also great—cozy and light--just perfect for a casual and friendly lunch among office colleagues.

We all came back to the office with very satisfied taste buds and tummies. However, we’re now too lazy to do the rest of the day’s work. I could doze off anytime now (I described my current state as similar to “having only 4 hours of sleep and then having a few bottles of beer the day after”).

Right now is the best time to lie in bed, under immaculately clean sheets, in a cold hotel room. Sweet dreams, mi amigos, mi amigas!

Love thought for the day
Read this at Joe D' Mango's column at the Sunday Inquirer:

"the person who will love us even if there is no more reason to do so is the one meant for us"

Grabe, pareng Joe, ang bigat ha...It is so thought-provoking. I wonder what song he used for this over at the radio broadcast.

Girlfriends' day
I've had this lingering and persistent feeling since the weekend...I miss my girl friends!

I miss calling Jonet anytime I need a quick and sound advice...She's too busy tending to her new-born that I deem I would be too bothersome to her now.

I miss visiting Larah in her cube, or sending her an instant message whenever something bothers me. It's too costly for us to have a conversation now, what with the IDD charges. I'm eagerly looking forward to her return a month from now.

I sometimes get a chance to have a quick chat with Marix, if time zone differences and her workload allow us. I miss having those long deep talks where we analyze everything (as in everything).

And then there's Tin, who I frequently get in touch with through the internet, but there's nothing like the warm presence of her friendship and those really comforting hugs.

Not to forget Viv--the one who'd give calm to my storms in life. She has, at oftentimes, been my shock absorber. She's the one who'd always give me hope and say "It's going to be ok".

Plus a few more others, who are either married, with kids, too busy with work, migrated to another country...We haven't lost touch, but it's just that we have different priorities now, that we can't be together as much as we did before.

My fondest wish now is that I'd get to spend a day with each of them, just to tell them how much I miss them, to cry and laugh with them, to reminisce about the good times (and bad) and to renew the bonds of friendship and sisterhood.

Women indeed need girl (women) friends to get through life.

The Weirdness of You
I'm on a roll. This is my third blog on "lists" in a row. I love lists, I love creating lists. It helps me organize my day and my life. But that is not what I want to write about today.

I'd like to share here somethings about my hubby. After a year and four months and thirteen days of being married to this man (Note: I was tempted to say "hunk of a man"-mwehehehehe), I discovered in him a number of odd and funny habits and ways.

1. He uses tissue paper to rub against his teeth in the absence of toothbrush, especially in restaurants. I find myself doing the same thing from time to time.

2. He has to remove all his clothing when doing No. 2 in the bathroom.

3. He prefers to sleep near the edge of the bed, rather than beside me. He says he gets too overwhelmed with the very large space when he stays in the middle.

4. He rubs his eyes for about 1 to 2 minutes after waking up. The Princess inherited this habit as well—it’s so funny to watch them doing it together.

5. He still applies baby powder to his face to freshen up.

6. He wears his most recently bought clothes week in and week out, as opposed to applying the FIFO method. I always warn him that his clothes would depreciate faster if he insists on choosing his attire in that way.

7. He asks me to do some mental calculations. When I give him the answer, he double checks by doing the computation in his phone calculator. He probably doesn’t trust accountants.

8. He perspires even when he’s just standing in a corner, and only on the right side of his body.

9. He combs his hair even when he’s already about to sleep. He says he might meet Diana Zubiri in his dreams and so he has to look good.

These are what I could come up with now, but I'll add more as I discover more. Isn't married life full of discoveries?

The Joys of Living Alone

It’s been almost a year since I returned from Jakarta (September 28, 2003 to be exact), after a three year period of living by myself. Don’t get me wrong dear friends…I love being back home in Manila. There are just certain things that I miss about my used to be life. So here goes my list:

  1. Reading books! This is one thing that I haven’t done in MONTHS. I have lots of new books that I haven’t even browsed thru yet. The Princess stays in our room, so when it’s her bedtime, we have no choice but to turn off the lights and leave a night light on, which is a bit dim for me to be able to read. And besides, once I take out a book to read, she’ll want to do the same with her picture books and not go to sleep.
  2. Watch any TV show I want. I used to be up to date with the episodes of Amazing Race, Survivor, CSI and Alias, and watched Star World every single night (plus The Bold and The Beautiful 3-hour marathon every Saturday morning-hehehe). Now, I have to contend with either the Princess watching Shrek2/Finding Nemo/Barney DVDs for the nth time or with the hubby watching PBO movies (how jologs), PBA and NBA or shows at the Kapamilya channel. I would be lucky if I could catch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on Monday evenings.
  3. Eat anything I want at anytime I want, or not eat at all. I can just order pizza, the whole box just for myself (another hehehe). Or I can just cook some canned stuff to eat with rice. Since we have to get the Princess used to eating with us at the dining table, I have no choice but to eat breakfast and dinner, even if I’m not hungry. And, the hubby also doesn’t miss his meals at home.
  4. If I am in no mood to talk, I can do so. I can frown whenever I want to. I’m not a moody person by nature, and I can easily be pleasing to other people. But there are moments when I just want to be a grouch.
  5. Walk around the house in my undies. I used to stay in a high-rise condo, with an open air view, and nobody can see me, even if I’m just in my birthday suit.
  6. Sleep anytime I want, without the hubby asking me, “Natutulog ka na naman?”
  7. My 30-minute prayer time before going to bed. I feel guilty now that sometimes I even forget to say a small prayer before sleeping. Having a hectic work load, spending quality time with the Princess and taking care of the hubby is surely exhausting, such that once my body touches the bed, it’s like there’s an automatic button that switches me off.

However, nothing probably beats the bliss of being with my family, of going home and finding a little girl running towards you to hug you, and of a welcome kiss and hug from the man of your life. As I kept on telling my friends, my family is more than worthy of my decision to come home, for good.

Cheers and Jeers
Here's a list of things that have happened to me since last night that either made me smile or made me fret:

CHEERS!

1. Bought and installed a new aquarium last night for the Princess, and of particular mention is the fish of my choice--Clown Loach--the closest thing to a Clown Fish that's suitable for fresh water.

2. Ran away from an MMDA enforcer who was trying to flag me down this morning (LOL). The road was clear so I decided to speed away. Anyway, it wasn't clear to me why he wants to apprehend me. I was merely trying to insert my way into the lanes turning right. Probably, he hasn't had breakfast yet. (My hubby just told me over lunch that what I did earlier constitutes swerving...Whether or not it was intentional or blatantly done. But he said that it was a good decision that I ran away=P)

3. Siopao asado from North Park!!!

4. Thought of a good use for my PDA--for writing my blogs offline.

JEERS :(

1. Already have 3 casualties from the aquarium--forgot what it's called but it's that specie that looks like 'dilis'.

2. Received a text message from a dear friend saying that she's leaving for Australia on Saturday, for good, which made me particularly sad. Why is it that when people are just around, we take them for granted, and only when they're gone do we regret that we didn't get to spend more time with them?

While Yaya was away
Yesterday, at a birthday party we attended, the Princess had her first taste of San Miguel Pale Pilsen (Now, Yaya should know better than to take the day off). I wonder why toddlers like the taste of beer and I also know a lot of parents who willingly let their kids, at a young age, have a small sip of beer. Kei’s nephew was even a lot younger when he had his first session.

Anyway, I waited the whole day for any signs of stomach upset or any allergies. None. Only, she was too hyperactive until bedtime, talking by herself while the hubby and myself were already dozing off.

Yet, another milestone in the life of a 2 year old toddler.

Phrase of the Day
Around three times each week before I go to work, I always ask Yaya to run me down a list of things that the Princess needs which we have already run out of, say like, milk, diapers, toiletries and food. This morning the conversation went like this:

Yaya to Mama: Ma'am Jo, bili ka ng pagkain ni Julie

At which point, the Princess blurted out....

Princess to Everyone: Bili dress

Oh yes, she's got her priorities really straightened out (and at such a young age)!

A Visit to the Pediatrician
My Princess has had a bout with cough and colds for the past 2 days already. She hasn’t lost her appetite, neither has she been unable to play and turn the whole bedroom upside down. But just to make sure that it’s nothing to worry about, I took her to the community clinic last night to have her checked.

However, it wasn’t that easy. The Princess loves riding cars and going out of the house. But once the driver stopped outside the clinic, she wouldn’t go down. I mean, she really froze inside the van and started whimpering. Only when we all left her by herself that she relented to go. I’m amazed that children as young as she is (2 y/o) have a very strong recall of places, this one being particularly a bad memory. You see, she isn’t fond of doctors and clinics. She probably remembers them as the place where she goes to have that little needle pricked in her thigh. She’s also not too comfortable with strangers touching her (she’d rather be the one to touch you), so she also doesn’t like it when people fuss about her whenever she is sick with stethoscopes and the like. Whenever we’re in one of these pedia visits, we have to literally clown around just to distract her. Well, last night wasn’t an exception. Once the doctor took out the stethoscope, on cue, she started crying (this could probably be a good motivator when we audition her for SCQKids-hehehe). She cried and cried and cried…With big teardrops rolling down her face. She isn’t by nature a cry-baby, so when she cries, oh boy, it could melt your heart with pity (just like when Puss in Boots makes that "pretty please" face). So whenever she does that, I just kid around and tell her, “Anak, kung umiyak ka para kang inaapi”. She’d only stop crying once the doctor is done with her, and she’ll be too happy to get out of there, fast.

I know I still have years of going through similar incidents. But it’s all part of being a mama. I know all parents go through this. I just hope that fear of doctors wouldn’t be a permanent phobia for her.

Oh and btw, the doc said she’s fine. What she has is just a viral infection, which is common with the rainy weather that we have. True enough, just half an hour ago, I called her up, she sounded so gay and happy, and she sang to me and said “abuuuu!!!”*.

*Princess’ term for “I love you”

Earthquake? What earthquake?
I have this perennial nose itch that I usually feel in the middle of the night, caused by very cold air blowing into my face, and especially if the aircon unit or the electric fan has already collected dust. And once that sets in, I have a habit of rubbing and scratching my nose, back and forth, sideways, anyway, just to get the itch off. The sensation is satisfying and pleasurable, almost BTS. The first time I did that many months ago, the hubby was jolted from his sleep, thinking there was an earthquake going on. I was having the time of my life scratching my nose, that I was oblivious to the fact that the whole bed was already shaking because of the intense scratching that I was doing. So thereafter, the hubby knew better. He'd just ignore any shaking he feels in the middle of the night. He knows that it's just me, rubbing and scratching away my nose itch.

And so, during this morning's intensity 6.2 earthquake, he just slept through it.

Just a few announcements
Before I get too busy, let me just share some good news (i think the word "news" should have a defined singular and plural form):

My good friend Marion and hubby Joseph are expecting their third baby. She's on the 5th week of her pregnancy. Cheers and congratulations!!! Another bowchowg baby on the way.

I've just been officially (I was told by my bosses that I can use this term) offerred a regular position with the company after my 1 year contract ends this September. I still have to work out the details of the offer with HR, but there's no reason I won't accept it -- unless somebody gives me a million dollars and I can afford not to be employed. So there...I just announced what I kept in secret in my post last week. Baby-making activity planned in a few months' time. Hmmm...What will the Princess say about this?!?!

What a good way to start the week!

Sunday Busy Sunday
I had a particularly busy Sunday. Sundays used to be my day to laze around, take my sweet time before getting up from bed—even if the hubby has either gone out for a basketball game or with my MIL to the market, and back. I also used to spend it just looking at my Princess, listening to her breathing, or smelling her face (I’m sure all moms love to do this) or just waiting for her to wake up—she also loves to sleep late on Sundays. I also would take long leisurely naps on Sunday afternoons, then afterwards eat merienda at Nanay’s (late grandmother of the hubby) house.

Yesterday, my day started VERY EARLY. Hubby and I woke up to the sound of my cellphone ringing at 430 in the morning. I didn’t see a number register on my phone, except for “Call”, so it must be an overseas call. After one hello, I didn’t get a reply so I pushed the end button. Dazed as I was, I only realized minutes later that it could be my girl friends Larah, Marix and Tin who were all together in Fullerton, CA. So I waited and waited for them to call again. But after 30 minutes of doing so, I thought that they probably wouldn’t call back. I also didn’t want to call them as I already had my overseas call quota (with Larah after she gave birth) in the previous month. So I decided to go back to bed and catch an hour’s worth of sleep, just in time for me to wake up again for market day. So there I was, literally hypnotizing myself to sleep, when just as I was about to fall into slumber, my phone rang again at 530 am. And indeed, it was a call from my three dear friends. The call lasted for about 10 minutes, with the 4 of us exchanging quick updates about each other. I could barely hear most of what they said because they were using a speaker phone, and of course, as usual, everybody was hurrying up to speak. Oh, but I could hear Hevn’s crying at the background too. I just can’t wait to see her and her mommy too—which will be real soon! And even though they woke me up at such an ungodly hour, I’m just too happy to hear from them to even complain about it. Phone calls from dear friends are always something that make me happy.

So after that phone call, I just laid in bed, alternately looking at Princess or hugging the hubby. I got up again at 6 o’clock on the dot to prepare for our trip to the “palengke”. It was my 2nd Sunday to do this chore with the hubby. Well, it sure took away my extra hours in bed (gosh, I really miss that!), but it earns me some brownie points with the hubby. I’m actually more of the hubby’s assistant than the main purchaser as he is more familiar with this activity. But compared to other markets, I like this one—it’s called the Sucat Square Market. I heard it’s the so-called palengke for sosyal people of Paranaque. For one, I believe it is more expensive here. Secondly, it’s also cleaner than most markets I’ve been to. And it’s a lot smaller so it’s easy to work your way around. The activity took us about an hour. After having breakfast, I took the Princess to our garage to have some freshly-airplane-fumed air and to say hi to our love birds. Then I took her inside our room to play and have her nth try at her powerpuff puzzle (she’s mastered it in just a week’s time!). As she was doing that, I fell asleep. Normally I wouldn’t want to sleep while I am supposed to be watching over her, but I was just so beat. But I knew she was safe, she knows she’s not supposed to be touching the fan or touching electric sockets. And if she does need anything, I’m sure she’ll just call out to me. True enough, after about 15 minutes, she nudged me and said “Study”, with her book in her oustretched little hands. I didn’t get to go back to sleep anymore after that. Shortly, I also took a bath and prepared for the two birthday parties we were going to.

Yup, we were invited to two 1st Birthday parties. And you know how children’s parties go these days…What with all the games and shows, so it sure would be a heavily packed afternoon. The first party we attended was the 1st Birthday and Christening (by Chinese customs, babies have their Christening when they turn 1 year old) of baby Jyra Renee at a restaurant in Roxas Blvd. The children’s show was very entertaining. My Princess seemed to enjoy it so well. There were times I caught her mouth open, apparently amazed with what she was watching. I also saw her laughing at some of the antics—my my, my baby is growing up (hiks hiks hiks). At around 2pm, we said our goodbyes and off we went to Miguel Carlos’s 1st Birthday party, all the way to Cavite. Again, there were fun games and a magic show. I was called upon by Mommy Grace to join one game. It was a pass the ball race. Unfortunately, the mommies’ team lost to the daddies’ team. While watching the magic show, the hubby and I noticed that it’s very much similar to the previous party’s show. Even though the hosts came from different service providers, the content of their programs were very much alike. The hubby was even kidding that maybe after watching a few more shows like it, he could already make a career out of it.

By 430 pm, it was time to say our goodbyes, as well as Joseph and his kids. For the 2nd time, My Princess and Gabe kissed each other on the lips, in the presence of their parents!!! Gosh….Kids today!!!

Luckily there was not much traffic jam by the time we were driving home. We were so exhausted already, and didn’t get a chance to visit baby Rafael Pio and Mommy Jonet anymore.

Writing this took up so much space in my blog, so I’m sure you have an idea now how hectic my Sunday was. I have nothing on schedule yet next Sunday, but Yaya asked permission to go on a day off. So I guess that is another interesting Sunday to watch out for
.

Signing off...for now
Blog blog blog blog…I don’t know what to write about…Don’t have an idea…

I’m just happy, but I can’t announce yet why I am so. =P

But I’m a bit sad as well…It’s my badminton partner’s last day with us in the office. No more wild laughter. No more “coco-bangga” partner. I look forward to her return from her rendezvous with the English guy in the English pub. Powerpuff girls save the day!

I’m off for some shopping with the hubby and the princess shortly. Yipee!!! Have a nice weekend my blogger friends =)

Btw, this is a perfect example of a senseless blog.

Being a wifey
For the very first time in our married life, I finally cooked a dish for my husband. And I’m not talking about the ready-to-cook/fry dishes. I made the dish from scratch—from marinating, to sautéing, to frying and serving.

I used to cook a lot when I lived in Jakarta, especially when I was pregnant, because I knew I had to eat well—as opposed to eating out which was expensive, or eating at Mc Donald’s which was not healthy. My dishes ranged from the usual favorites like pork sinigang, spiced-sauteed tuna flakes, pork or shrimp adobo, and menudo, to special dishes like beef salpicao and beef with oyster sauce. And of course, there's my specialty, the Bistek, which the hubby specifically requested (read: pressured) from me to cook for him today.

And the verdict? He said it was good…In fact, he had seconds ;)

Why I've been quiet
Some of you (if you're one of my few blog friends) may have been wondering why my blogs have been far in between. Believe it or not, I'm finally TOO BUSY at work, and I've officially declared myself "anti-social". Just to let you in on some of the gruesome details of what i've been doing:

1. I've got 3 programmers hounding me to do testing and for program specs;
2. I've got a Sri Lankan customer who has cornered me for the last 2 days for his fixed asset depreciation problem--and I believe he doesn't even have an idea that Sri Lanka is 3 hours behind Philippine time because he buzzes me during my lunch break;
3. I've got local customers demanding for meetings here and there;
4. To top it all, I'm supposed to come up with the deliverable by next Friday for the Upgrade project--and I haven't even started on anything.

My boss told me that I should divide my time now between the project and the regular support work, 50-50. But I think behind that, he's actually saying that I should work with double effort, making it 100-100. Now I know Superman has a tough job.

Email Scam
They're still at it...I've read about this scam many months ago, but despite being exposed, they're still doing it. A lot of people would really do anything to fool others into giving them money. So for the benefit of those who haven't seen this email, I hope this serves as a forewarning. I received this in my yahoo account, and I'm typing it here because I can't copy-paste it as the letter is coded:

It's so nice to be happy
I've got a few things to smile about today, despite this pretty hectic week:

1. TGIF! Need I say more?
2. I was able to blow-dry and style my newly-cut hair, according to specifications (heehee)
3. The UP Maroons is on a six-game winning streak, after beating Ateneo yesterday. Yahoo, we're going for the Final Four!!!
4. I finally got to install a tag board in my blog site, many thanks to Emi.
5. Here's one for Nonoy: I got hold of that email you mentioned in your comment. So here goes, hope you'll have lots of laugh.

The following is a letter found at a certain bar in
Manila and has been preserved in its original, unedited form. Enjoy reading and you may try direct translation in Tagalog. Pls read with feelings...

To Marjie,
I am not surprise or wander why Dennis leave you.
Why? What reason you can think about but you're
very fat body. I thought before that Dennis only
use me to his toy but sooner and later I'm realize
that he really can't not beared or stomached to be
with you anymore because at first, Dennis say he
could not stand you're habit of making pakialam all his
walks [lakad] and always calling to their house what he
go home or this or that. And then he say he get ashame
to met iether in school or in his family and then asking
you to exercise you're very very, very fat body. But you
hate it. Thoughth your the most preetiest girls he
knows about. What do you think you are "Beautiful Girl"
of Jose Marie Chan?
Even you are beautiful face (to your think) you do
not have the right to called me whatsoever or else
different name one time or the other for the real
purposed to insults my personality because I'm
never call you names iether in the front of Dennis
or in the backs of Dennis, but if you start already
to calling me different name, I don't have any
other choice but to call you other different name
to. Like you are a PIG, FAT, OBESSED,
OVERWIGHT, AND UGLY SHAPE girl. Shame
to you're body that is to a BUDING. You can't not
blame Dennis for exchanging you to me because
I am the more sexier than you when you look to
us in the mirror. I'mrepeat a gain that you are like
Ike Lozada when she is a girl.

Love,
The Sexiest Girl of D.M.
P.S. You say that I'm the bad breathe but who is
Dennis want to kissed. Me or you? You or me? And
the final is me. There you go.

Oh Chona!
I found this really hilarious blog site, many thanks to Tin:

http://chona.blogspot.com/

I don't know how to create the links on the side of my blog like the ones I see on Tin's or Nonoy's blogs. Still have to find time to study HTML.

Anyway, do visit Chona's blog site. I promise, you won't stop laughing.

Attention: Workplace Services
A bunch of computer cleaners have invaded our office since the beginning of the week. They carry around grocery plastic bags with "trapo" and that cleaning agent--forgot what it's called, but it looks like paste. Interestingly, they look like, well, service masters (talk to an MSSC employee to find out what i'm talking about), dressed in office barongs. Glamorized, I would add.

They are like doctors doing rounds. First they'll run something--I have no idea what it is--but I think it's supposed to clean up garbage files in the computer. Then they'll dismantle the keyboards, and brush around the little corners. They also clean the surfaces of the monitors with the paste thing. The whole process takes an hour, an hour and a half at most. After they're done with my computer, my monitor looked so shiny and I could see through it more clearly. Plus, my keyboard is noticeably neater, void of all the little particles that went thru it. At last it can breathe.

But then I guess, to be clean is not what it's meant to be--much like when the hubby washes the car and it rains afterwards. Just a few hours after, I had Tim-Tam for my merienda. What do you know, the keyboard likes chocolates! And just today, we shared a bag of Cheese Rings.

Have a break
I just want to take a short breather from the tons of work I have today. I have this task assigned to me by Partner Je (she seems to be taking our partnership seriously, she's taking it to work--j/k), and I still have to figure out how to explain the issue to the user. And then the programmer just sent me a note to re-test the program. And the one thing I've been wanting to do the whole day, my assignment from the boss--the file seems to be allergic to (or is it "of") me. He's already moved it around to different folders, and I still can't access it.

What a terrible un-schedule!
